Maxine H. Rudolph is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Birmingham, Alabama in 1982 to seek a new beginning. Since 2009, she is a retiree of The University of Alabama at Birmingham's Cell Biology Department where she worked with various research doctors and was a grant writing assistant as well. Currently, Maxine is working part-time in Medical Billing and Coding with Dr. G Bruce Head III of Gadsden, Alabama. Maxine received her degree in Office Administration - Transcription and Coding from Gadsden State Community College.


Maxine is a very active participant in her church and the community. In addition, she is co-owner of Pursenalities with business partner, Karmeletta Young, as well as a big advocate of family and is a proud mother of two adult children and grandmother of three grandchildren.

Latasha J. Humphrey is a happy native of Chicago, Illinois. However, for the most part, grew up in Birmingham and Hoover, Alabama; where she became a proud Hoover Bucs Alumna. After high school, Latasha began her life journey through many personal, educational and professional experiences. In 2011, she completed graduate school and founded The Flora Pearl Foundation. She is a published author of This Relationship Matters, an entrepreneur, mentor, transformational life coach, and advocate of women and girls. She is also an active participant in the ARTS and nonprofit communities and is a former model and finalist in the Miss Birmingham Heritage Pageant.


Latasha has worked for and served with several foremost organizations in Alabama’s public and private sector, such as, The Flora Pearl Foundation, Inc., Dream Girls Academy International, Faith Chapel Christian Center, Real Life Poets Incorporated, Youth Villages, Virginia College, Board of Education Leeds City Schools, Hope Manifest, YWCA, City of Birmingham Mayor’s Office Division of Youth Services, and Red Mountain Park, developing alliances with many of Alabama’s influential elite.

Sandra Scrivner is a native of Memphis, Tennessee, but she has lived in various parts of the US, such as Denver, CO;  Jackson, MS;  Princeton, NJ, Birmingham, AL and now, Nashville, TN.


Sandra has been employed with Children's Hospital of Alabama since 2004.  She intends to further her career by pursuing an RN degree from Lawson State Community and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 


Sandra is the proud mother of 3 adult children.  Twins Jessica and Joseph (Amy) and Jocquelyn (Malcolm).  She is also the proudest grandmother of Adrian, Aiden, and Lailah.


Sandra looks forward to investing time, talent and resources to support the young women of our community by working with The Flora Pearl Foundation, Inc.


Media Specialist/Graphic Designer Intern

Zion Ensley is an upcoming force who has solidified himself as a technology guru. In May 2013, he received recognition with the Career Technology Award from Leeds Middle School for having the highest average in his grade level. In addition to technology, he was also a natural talent in the baseball world for several years and truly loved the game. Zion is currently pursuing his love of the ARTS as well as his passion as an entrepreneur.

At the age of 13, Zion joined The Flora Pearl Foundation as an Intern for two reasons: one, family business comes first and two, he really believes in the vision of the organization. 


His Tech-Savvy knowledge will definitely afford him many opportunities in the near future.
